Saturday Billing Window Receptionist – Opioid Treatment

This is a Full-time position in Woodbridge Township, NJ posted December 26, 2019.

Position Overview: Reporting to the Office Manager, the Billing Window Receptionist is responsible for the billing window during medicating, collect client fees and record payments, run daily deposit log detail report, reconcile client fees collected with cash deposit on Daily Cash Log and then give money collected, Daily Deposit Log Detail Report, and Daily Cash Log to Executive Director. Also, will inform clients of all required associated treatment information appearing as alerts such as urine sample collection, counseling holds, and medical holds. Specific Responsibilities: * Responsible for data entry and invoice preparation for all third-party billing. * Type correspondence reports, etc. as directed by Executive Director. * Answer telephone, taking messages as appropriate being sure to obtain caller’s name, agency, and telephone number with area code, and a brief message. * Responsible for the organization of medical records archives. * Prepare correspondence and reports, etc. as directed by Executive Director. * Responsible for the Patient Discharge/No-Show Letters. * Assist staff during intake hours as needed. * Be knowledgeable of and enforce agency policies and procedures. * Other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: * High School diploma, preferably with business school training * Experience in collecting fees and cash reconciliation, preferably in a drug treatment facility, bank, or similar setting * Experience in clerical/secretarial skills including but not limited to word processing, using a computer, filing * Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access * Accurately type at least 50 words per minute * Excellent organizational skills * Possess the knowledge and understanding of how to recognize and manage an opiate overdose. * Understand the clinical benefits and limitations of urine screens, toxicology, and other testing procedures * Knowledge of CPR and Basic Life Support * Culturally competent Competencies: Customer Service: Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customers’ needs in a manger that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources that can be made available. Impact and Influence: Works effectively with and through others including those whom there is no formal authority over. Project Management: Coordinates the diverse components of the project by balancing scope, time, cost, and quality. Communication: Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills. Work Environment: May work in a variety of environments including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or out-patient facilities. They spend much of their time on their feet, actively working with patients. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day.
