As an Electrical Engineer / Designer, you will work directly with clients and the Strang project team to design the appropriate electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for each unique project.
Responsibilities also include power and lighting calculations, feasibility studies, probable cost estimates, overseeing the production of construction documents (plans, details, schedules, specifications), and assisting with construction administration. ResponsibilitiesWork directly with clients and the project design team to engineer the appropriate electrical systems for each projectEngineer, calculate, and document building electrical distribution system, lighting and controls, and fire alarm systems.Select and specify devices, fixtures, components, and equipmentOversee the production of construction documentsEstimate project costsCreate feasibility studiesAssist with construction administrationQualifications5+ years of consulting experience and Wisconsin licensure as a Professional Engineer or DesignerPossess innovative thinking skills and a passion for architecture and engineering designPossess a thorough knowledge of electrical systems for complex building typesFamiliar with the current Electrical and Building CodesKnowledge of power distribution systems, interior and exterior lighting, and life safety systems (required)Experience with architectural and specialty lighting design (preferred)Software Experience: Revit, SKM Power Tools, AGI32, or ElumTools (preferred)Ability to think creatively and operate in a dynamic multi-tasking team setting
