Mechanical Engineer with Security Clearance

Come and experience your future! – Responsible for performing the mechanical design and analysis of radar system equipment including developing design requirements; performing trade studies; and performing the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design and analysis of the radar system hardware design. – Responsible for working with Manufacturing to successfully support the build and test of production hardware including the resolution of any manufacturing problems.- Key member of the design team focused on meeting program cost, schedule and technical commitments.- Use engineering solid modeling tools and analysis tools to perform design and analysis tasks.- Manage subcontractors and work with other LM organizations to complete assignments.- Highly self-motivated with outstanding leadership and communication skills.- Responsible for providing program status and generating design review material in clear and precise presentations and/or documents for review by management and customers. – Responsible for providing technical direction of other design, assembly and test team members.Basic Qualifications:- BS Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 5 year experience and proven superior performance in the design, build and testing of hardware. – Experienced using 3D solid modeling tools (CREO preferred) to develop and iterate complex hardware designs. – Experienced performing structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (Ansys preferred) and interpreting analysis results to influence designs. – Experienced working with Manufacturing to successfully support the build and test of production hardware including the resolution of any manufacturing problems. – Ability to obtain & maintain a Secret Security Clearance.Desired Skills:- MS in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of experience – Experienced in the mechanical design, analysis, build and test of radar system hardware including phased arrays and their subassemblies; cabinets and their subassemblies (digital processing, power conversion, receiver/exciter); and test facility design including development enclosures, structures, liquid and air cooling systems and power systems. – Highly self-motivated and outstanding leadership skills with demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplined Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) through hardware development. – Experienced successfully managing the hardware development as the Responsible Engineer and Cost Account Manager (RE/CAM) including generating and statusing MS Project schedules and applying Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to successfully manage cost and schedule.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
