Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) is conducting the search for our medical client’s Business Development Manager.

This full-time position is temporary employment with the opportunity to become permanent, for immediate hire, and operates from our client’s office in Northern New Jersey (Livingston/Verona/West Orange).

With practices located in multiple states, our client offers a unique multi-disciplinary approach to their practice which incorporates clinical expertise and state-of-the-art technology with individualized patient care.

Their team of medical providers and dedicated support staff offer comprehensive solutions for both medical and cosmetic dermatology issues.

Our client is looking for searching for an exceptional, hunter-minded business development powerhouse to drive business development initiatives on their behalf.

This role will build relationships and execute strategic cross-functional partnerships.

This opportunity is highly visible within the company and is directly responsible for relationship building with physician practices and directing sales to attract potential new physician groups in order to generate increased market share and develop new business.

Your role is critical in developing and sustaining relationships with providers, office staff and patients and during a typical day you’ll call on Healthcare professionals to communicate and promote the services and products offered.

As the Business Development Manager, you aren’t afraid to strike up a conversation with strangers and when you do (which is frequently), you have a knack for building rapport quickly!

You’re Good At: Creating new community partnerships which benefit the medical practice.

Developing strong relationships with leads at referral sites and identifying new opportunities for partnership and growth.

Developing a clear, realistic, and actionable plan designed to expand market share and presence in the community.

Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the group’s products and services, capabilities and physician relations.

Investing a minimum of 80% of work time on face-to face referral development completing calls to physicians, hospital and medical professionals, community, managed care and other related contacts.

Meeting weekly with management to discuss new opportunities, areas of improvement, and marketing opportunities.

Identifying niche opportunities, market diversification and market share strategies.

Requirements: Relevant healthcare or pharmaceutical representative experience is a MUST.

dermatology experience is ideal!

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field.

3+ years of proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Representative or similar role Hands-on experience with strategic sales techniques (including cold calls).

Track record of achieving sales quotas / proven record of ability to pursue and close sales.

Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to deliver engaging presentations.

High degree of motivation and enthusiasm.

Innovative approach to problem-solving.

Proficient with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).

Ability to build lasting relationships within the medical community, including other healthcare providers, physicians and staff to facilitate referrals to the group.

Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.

Compensation: This is a temporary, full time role with the ability to become permanent.
