AVP of Enterprise Infrastructure & Security

Salary for this role is in the $165K-$185K range plus a target bonus of 20% (can be up to 40%) plus a possible sign on and relocation assistance.

Agile Our client is seeking someone who will provide infrastructure and security architecture leadership across the enterprise in alignment with the overall enterprise architecture strategy.

This role requires collaboration with peer enterprise architects and technical leads to define sound technical solutions in support of business initiatives.

The individual will establish infrastructure and security standards and make recommendations on solving asset lifecycle management challenges.

Additionally, the successful applicant will be expected to define an infrastructure and security architecture future state that aligns with business strategy and manages technical risk.

All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities: Work closely with others in the enterprise architecture team to define the overall enterprise strategy.

Develop and monitor principles that ensure alignment of enterprise infrastructure architecture to the enterprise strategy.

Define and monitor the use of enterprise infrastructure design patterns and security patterns with emphasis on reuse and standardization that contribute to efficiency.

Defines and monitors use of enterprise standards for infrastructure and security platforms, tools, services, and frameworks.

Work closely with peer enterprise architects and technical leads as required.

Collaborates with technical architects on infrastructure non-functional requirements, design, performance, and modernization in alignment with the overall enterprise infrastructures architecture strategy.

Provides mentoring and guidance for infrastructure architecture methodologies and disciplines.

Defines an overall infrastructures architecture future state including the introduction of new technologies and methodologies, modernization opportunities, and the management of technical debt.

Recommends infrastructure lifecycle management efficiencies.

Participates in the systems planning process for new business initiatives by evaluating solution architecture against company standards and assesses technical risk.

Ensures the right balance of rapid delivery of business initiatives with technical best practices.

Evaluates platforms, tools, and emerging technologies that are candidates for the future state architecture and evolving business strategy.

Conducts vendor analysis and proof-of-concepts for new technologies and solutions as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or other related field, or equivalent work experience 7 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure architecture Both strategic and hands on tactical technical architectural experience necessary.

Project management experience strongly preferred.

Working level ITIL knowledge required.

Experience with cloud computing design and implementation, containers, and automation.

Experience working with project and delivery teams adhering to an iterative delivery methodology or lean manufacturing (Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN).

Experience collaborating with domain architects and technical leads in a distributed architectural organization.

Superior technical knowledge in infrastructure and security trends, technologies, and implementation.

Ability to understand the strategic utilization and impact of technical solutions.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, along with superior collaboration ability.

Must demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment and have the ability to achieve results through others.

Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be respected as a leader and mentor.
