is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Morris Plains, NJ.

The Maintenance Technician, under general supervision, is responsible for performing routine and moderately complex maintenance services and repairs.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: As directed by the Operations Manager, performs repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, grounds, equipments, fixtures, and systems.

Examples include, but are not limited to, HVACs units changing filters and belts, changing light ballast as needed, light plumbing repairs, etc.

Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains facility plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Conducts preventative maintenance inspections.

Ensures buildings are operating in a safe and effective manner.

Assists in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment, as needed.

Paints rooms and/or items as directed by the Operations Manager.

Responsible for checking thermostats to ensure comfortable temperatures throughout the campus.

Interacts with vendors such as electricians, roofers, plumbers, etc.; oversees repairs to maintain standards.

Walks vendors through campus for quotes.

Assures all work is completed in a timely and clean manner.

Travels to offices and Weichert locations as needed.

Assists in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment, as needed.

Assists with painting, furniture assembly and/or setup or cleanout of offices, as needed.

Participates in Sales Office opening and closing processes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: High school diploma or GED General HVAC certification is preferred Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation is required Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in maintenance or related field HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience preferred Knowledge of HAVC, plumbing, and general repairs Good oral and written communications skills Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions Strong attention to detail Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
