**Must have Mental Health experience** The role of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide quality nursing care to residents while implementing specific procedures and programs.

A CNA coordinates work within the department, as well as with other departments, and reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor on shift.

He or she responds to inquiries or requests for information and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.

Bathing and dressing patients.

Serving meals and helping patients eat.

Taking vitals.

Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses and doctors.

Lifting patients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc.

Answering patient calls.

Examining patients for bruises, blood in urine, or other injuries/wounds.

Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas.

Changing bed sheets and restocking rooms with necessary supplies.

Qualifications: Must possess valid current certificate under the State Board of Nursing.
