Commercial litigation attorney – mount laurel

This is a Full-time position in Mount Laurel, NJ posted November 25, 2019.

Parker McCay is seeking an entry level attorney to join the commercial litigation department, a dynamic, broad practice representing a wide range of businesses and industries primarily throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The commercial litigation department is a small team, allowing members to work on meaningful assignments related to complex litigation and risk management in a collaborative environment.

Position Summary: Working under general supervision, provides quality legal services to clients including research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, discovery, court appearances, client communication and direct client contact.

Attorneys are also expected to participate in marketing activities, including networking, community involvement, etc.

Requirements: 1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, specifically with experience in research, motion practice, discovery, and hearing/trial preparation.

Candidates who have completed a judicial clerkship in the Civil Division or Appellate Division are strongly preferred.

Admission to the New Jersey Bar and strong academic credentials.

Pennsylvania Bar admission also preferred but not required.

Strong research and writing, time management, prioritization and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with clients, staff and attorneys, and to maintain effective working relationships.

Ability and/or interest in participating in individual and firm-wide marketing and business development efforts.

Commitment to maintaining a high-level of proficiency in the most current and advanced legal techniques.
