About the Department The legal department is responsible for providing legal advice and expertise to help guide MTBC to success.

The legal department provides services in such areas as: business development, mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, litigation, compliance, contract negotiation and management, and organizational policy development.

About the Position MTBC’s in-house legal department is seeking an intern to assist with both long-term research assignments and daily legal issues.

This position requires strong legal research and writing skills.

The subjects of the projects assigned may include, but are not limited to: healthcare regulations, contract law, intellectual property, and securities law.

The intern will report to MTBC’s General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.

Job Responsibilities May Include: Working closely with attorneys on agreements supporting the development of the Company’s products and services Supporting projects for the in-house legal and compliance departments Assisting in drafting of services, licensing, M&A and leasing agreements Assisting with day-to-day short-term research projects Long-term legal research projects Drafting legal memoranda and/or briefs Interest in learning about the role of in-house counsel Strong legal research skills and analytical ability Strong written and verbal communication skills Team player with ability to work independently Strong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Undergraduate degree Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school, with 1L year already completed Job Requirements: Interest in learning about the role of in-house counsel Strong legal research skills and analytical ability Strong written and verbal communication skills Team player with ability to work independently Strong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Undergraduate degree Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school, with 1L year already completed Education: Undergraduate degree Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school, with 1L year already completed MTBC, Inc.
