Continuing Education Specialist


This is a Contract position in Mount Laurel Township, NJ posted December 24, 2019.

Job Summary: The Continuing Education Specialist collaborates with members of the continuing education council to create interprofessional programs that align with the strategic initiatives.

– The Continuing Education Specialist works in concert with the interprofessional team of planners to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of, continuing education programs.

– -The continuing education specialist collects outcome data and analyzes to review program effectiveness.

– The continuing education specialist ensures that all continuing education programs work harmoniously with achieving zero patient harms in an environment of where High Reliability is the expectation.

– -And this specialist obtains commendation of accredited programs.Position Responsibilities:All Facets of Continuing Education ActivitiesParticipate in planning, implementing and evaluating continuing education programs.Develops and reconciles program budgets.Resolves potential and/or actual conflicts of interests of speakers, planners, and content experts in collaboration with the Director of Professional Development.Collects outcome data and analyzes for program effectiveness.Displays outcomes on continuing education dashboard.Accreditation ProcessHave expert knowledge of the required accreditation criteria (ACCME, AMA,MSNJ, ANCC, NJSNA, Pharma, Joint Commission, and other accrediting professional organizations) and appropriately resolve any conflicts.Creates first drafts of re-accreditation self-studies for governing accreditation organizations.Revenue GenerationIdentify other areas of opportunities to promote continuing education while generating revenue.Develop professional relationships with commercial interest organizations to fund educational grants that would help to support continuing educational programs.Evaluation of Continuing Education Program Effectiveness Align with the strategic initiatives, include HRO and safety initiatives.

– Collect outcome data and analyze for program effectiveness.Ensure data is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards.

-Post outcome data on continuing education dashboard.Report out quarterly at the Continuing Education Steering Committee.Position Qualifications Required:Required Experience:2-3 years CME and/or CNE experience at an accredited ACCME/ NJSNA Accredited Provider facility OR an equivalent combination of training and experienceRequired Education:BA or -BS degree requiredTraining / Certification / Licensure:CCMEP credential (Certified CME Professional) preferred.
