Director of immuno-oncology

This is a Full-time position in Hightstown, NJ posted December 16, 2019.

Job Summary: The Director will be excited by the prospect of building this team within the I/O effort at GBG, and of working within a matrixed group of peers, with complementary expertise in immunology, innate immunity, small-molecule screening, medicinal chemistry, in-silico drug design, metabolic pathology, and animal modeling.

Resources will be available to build the Director’s team, including Ph.D.

and research associate scientists.Essential Functions: Lead small-molecule drug-discovery programs in immuno-oncology (I/O)work within our drug-discovery infrastructure at Genesis Biotechnology Group (GBG) to target the human adaptive immune response as directed to the generation of long-term T-cell memoryDevelop the strategy and approach of this research programDirect and oversee all aspects of the experimental work, data analysis, and developmental protocolsJob Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required PhD in Immunology or Molecular Immunology in the context of oncology biological sciences including molecular/cell biology, pharmacology, or biochemistry with focus on immunology5-10 years of relevant experience leading a lab in an academic or industrial settingProven and broad knowledge in the field of I/O with in vivo model experience a plusOutstanding written and oral communication requiredDeep expertise and solid track record of productivity as evidenced by completion of complex projects, publications in high impact peer-reviewed journals, and/or patentsStrong experience leading teams and managing individuals from the associate to principal scientist level, developing both direct reports and matrixed team members, including performance management and change managementExperience with small molecule drug discovery project teams including target discovery, screening strategies, and validation through to lead optimization a plusPrior experience working with CROs and/or with academic collaborators preferred.We Offer:Competitive SalaryMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceShort and Long-Term DisabilityVoluntary Policies (Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness & Supplemental STD)Legal Plan & Identity Theft Protection401(k) PlanBusiness Casual EnvironmentCredit UnionGenesis Biotechnology Group is an equal opportunity employer.
