Excellent opportunity for an IT Project Manager with aspirations to grow into future technology and business leadership roles.

Individual will work directly with the CIO of an AM LAW 200 Law Firm with 9 offices and over 400 attorneys.

PM will assist the CIO with the firms technology project & program management portfolio.

The position will also have certain IT operations responsibilities.

Key Position Responsibilities: Project Management: Coordinate and manage project activities, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet client expectations Project Planning: Create and manage detailed project task plans, budgets, and timelines Business Analysis & Requirements: Analyze business operations to determine opportunities to automate business processes and functions; Define and document project objectives and business requirements to be translated into functional specifications for systems development, product evolution and new technology Client Management & Communication: Responsible for serving as liaison between business and engineering teams to provide technical solutions to meet business needs that enhance the firm’s competitive advantage Testing and Quality Control: Manage testing activities for all new systems that are introduced into the production environment Training and Deployment: Prepare user documentation and participate in end-user training; Support development deployment activities Reporting: Monitor and summarize progress of project and prepare and distribute status reports Assist in other areas such as IT operations as needed Skills/Qualifications: 5 years of IT Project Management and Business Analyst experience Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate business needs into application and operational requirements Demonstrated experience planning and managing projects of various sizes Demonstrated experience analyzing and documenting business processes and requirements Must be very organized, must have the ability to map out project scope, specific tasks, evaluate resource allocation and map out time timelines for project delivery and launch Very strong organizational skills; Very detail oriented – while fully understanding the big picture Strong ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills Strong client service orientation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Professional and personable; ability to work constructively and collaboratively with people at all levels Strong time management skills; enjoys a fast-paced, challenging environment; can be effective quickly Willing to take initiative and assume responsibility Required: Practical IT project management and technical business analyst experience in a law firm Ability to collaborate with business teams, engineering, developers, and stakeholders Experience: Business Analysis: 5 years (Required) Project Management: 5 years (Required) Education & Training: Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or related discipline ITIL, PMP and/or other project management related certification strongly preferred Technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA a plus Required travel: 25% (Required) McCarter & English, LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
