President/Gm – automotive & motorsports

This is a Full-time position in Orange, NJ posted December 12, 2019.

President / General Manager Automotive & Motorsports Aftermarket products.

Greater Los Angeles or Orange County, CA area.

JOB PURPOSE: The President/GM is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company across the USA and Canadian markets, by working with the Global Executives to establish long-range goals, strategies, and shareholder value performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.

Participate in the development of the company’s plans and programs as its strategic partner within the EOM and automotive and motorsports racing industry.

Ensure that the sales teams continuously meet their revenue goals.

Challenge and monitor, through the US Sales team, led by the Director of Sales, and make sure sales goals are consistently strategized for, and met.

Customers include world class Automotive importers, national and regional distributors/wholesalers, and racing teams.

Ensure that the brand is consistently put forward in major Automotive and Powersports events, through challenging the efforts of the US Marketing & Racing Events team, led by the Marketing Manager.

Contribute in building solid relationships with the current and future distributors and support the development of their Marketing and Sales staff.

Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity.

Ensure that the local operation is in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as with the Group’s internal policies and procedures Evaluate the organization’s and the staff’s performance on a regular basis, proving the necessary feedback and adjustments.

Develop a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization, within the organization agreed upon guidelines and objectives.

Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives Oversee the supply chain department, ensuring that all products are forecasted for in Sales, planned for in Imports, stored and delivered according to the US Sales policy and commitments with its customers.

Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.

Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Board and senior executives in performing their responsibilities.

Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to meet long-term objectives, and creating shareholder value.

Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets.

Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism, which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: An experienced leader with appropriate industry experience, with a premium brand of the Automotive Aftermarket industry, or of the Powersport industry strongly preferred.

An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.

A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.

Outstanding Marketing background, in handling Prescription Marketing and consistent brand exposure throughout Web, Events and the Activation aspect of all Marketing events.

A well-organized and self-directed individual who is “politically savvy” and an outstanding team player.

An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.

A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.

A decisive individual who possesses a “big picture” perspective and is well versed in systems.

International experience and exposure to diverse work environments preferred.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field; an MBA is desirable.
