Quality Assurance Manager


This is a Contract position in Eatontown, NJ posted December 16, 2019.

Position Summary Oversees the overall quality system and monitors its effectiveness to ensure delivery against QA department goals and objectives.

Sets standards and creates control instruction and quality plans, both internally and for customers.

Writes specifications for incoming and produced goods.

Prepares inspection plans and instructions.

Directly supervises Quality Assurance and monitors overall inspection effectiveness.

Job Elements & Position Responsibilities Analyzes and solves quality problems.

Selects sampling plan applications.

Trains production staff in quality procedures and monitors their performance.

Monitors effectiveness of the quality training system.

Monitors and maintains COA system for accuracy pert customer requirement.

Creates COA’s.

Performs Audits Internally.

Analyzes costs and other quality data and applies fundamental statistical methods for process control.

Creates and revises quality procedures and work instructions.

Assists in the creation and revision of quality procedures and work instructions.

Job Elements & Position Responsibilities
– Continued Monitors and maintains customer complaints throughout the year.

Ensures complaints are answered in a timely manner.

Ensures accounting aspects are accurate.

Monitors and maintains vendor complaints.

Ensures accounting aspects are accurate.

Monitors and maintains pest control system.

Monitors and maintains the safety program.

Monitors and maintains the lab coat program.

Monitors and maintains the external documents program.

(Work in progress.) Monitors all internal non-conformities and assists in trouble-shooting and analysis to determine Root causes and implement CAPA’s.

Using information available, anticipating future issues and resolving when possible.

Complies key performance indicators to communicate quality measurement throughout the company.

Develop and maintain QA KPI’s/metrics to aid in continuous improvement in QA and other departments.

Works with other departments to ensure the quality process is working and improving/streamlining the process when possible.

Reviews documentation, for all teams, to ensure it serves its intended function.

Coordinates customer audits.

Detail oriented, quality conscious, with excellent organizational skills Ability to motivate and lead improvement within the Quality Department Effective written, verbal and sales presentation skills Perform internal and supplier audits Effective problem solving and process analysis skills Independent thinker Required Qualifications Education: Bachelors in Science (engineering preferred) Experience: One year working in a Quality Inspector Technician role.
